Mr. Sassy Pants

To start out my second blog I have to correct a few things.  David told me that I mispoke about our possible family mottos.  The actual front runner are listed below. Please comment below to cast your vote and we will announce a winner soon.
1.  With a name like McCool... you're probably not
2.  It's not Cool... it's McCool

Sooo... We officially have the crud at our house.  Kircher has an ear infection, Lawson has a double ear infection and I've got junk.  Needless to say last night was a sleepless night for the McCools!  My patience has been fading in and out all day but leave it to Kircher to bring in the humor.  This afternoon he comes running in half naked (which is totally the norm at our house... since the kid has been potty trained I can't for the life of me get the child to put pants BACK ON after he's used the toilet but whatever) So I'm feeding Lawson in the living room and Kircher runs in to ask "Mom... are we on the same track?"

This conversation happens at least a dozen times a day because he's obsessed with trains and they say this on Thomas... a show I thought was really great untill this conversation....
Kircher "Mom are we on the same track?"
Me "Yes Bud"
Kircher "I don't want David (calls dad that) on the same track" as he pats Lawson's head a little overzealously.
Me "That's not very nice to say and you need to be soft with Lawson's head"
Kircher "Oh mom...  sod off!"
Me "Excuse me did you just tell me to sod off?"
Kircher running toward his room "yeah mom sod off"
After I pulled it together I went into his room to talk to him and finally figured out he learned it from a Thomas episode... What??? Anyhooo.... not ready for the sas yet for sure.  I explained that it was a bad word like "shut up" which he seemed to understand. Then he apologized and hugged me and as I was leaving the room he says "Okay Mom thanks for your help old girl... I'll only tell Daddy to sod off."  Bahhahaha! So hard to pull it together and RE-EXPLAIN!

Then after supper tonight it was time to take their anti-biotics.  Kircher has the lovely and unbelievable ability to throw up on cue.  I give him his little cup to drink his meds and he starts choking before it even touches his lips.  I looked at him and said "Oh come on you're doing it on purpose" He literally smiles and then pukes all over me! AWESOME! So after I wipe off I go grab rags and the resolve and tell him he has to help me clean it up.  (yeah right but it was worth a shot) Anyhoo as I'm cleaning up and he's watching I say... "Kirch I don't think that was worth it.  Did you really have to throw up? You know I'm going to still make you take your medicine."  He says "Ok mom, so I have to take my medicine again?"  I reply with "Yeah buddy... you still have to take it again."  Kircher smiles and says "Okay then I'll just have to throw up on you again." LOL.  David and I both lost it.  I mean the kid can dish it out these days!! Who knew!!! After coaxing with sprite and a piece of candy we finally got it down. Ugh.

Our Direct TV was on the fritz tonight so it didn't record "Dancing with the Stars All-Stars" So upset... so I'll have to watch it online and give you my full review later which I'm sure you'll all love. :0   Hope everyone is having a great week!

Hello & Welcome

So I've been wanting to start a blog forever but just never sat down to do it.  Much thought however has gone into the idea behind our blog. I'll start by explaining our name.  David and I have had many discussions about how Miller is such a common last name.  If we ever drop off dry cleaning, pictures, whatever there are about a thousand David Millers and several hundred Katie Millers registered at whatever given place our name is on file.  However we have a ton of things monogrammed or things that just have an "M" on them representing our current last name. So we decided if we could pick a new last name, we should definitely stay in the "M" family.  That way nothing goes to waste :) Finally after tossing around many options and much heated debate we landed on the McCools.  Well lets me honest it was one of the first things that flew out of David Miller's mouth and I died laughing... so we stuck with it.  Yes I realize it's technically an Mc name but whatever it's close enough.

So after deciding our new name we had to come up with a "family motto" about our name.  Our two front runners are
"The McCools because we're not"  or "We're the McCools... because it sounds cool"  So let me know your thoughts on which one you like better.  Yep this is pretty much how conversations around our house go a lot of the time.  Pointless and hypothetical conversations about our lives.

For those who don't know me well I have two boys Kircher and Lawson and we love them like crazy.  I get a kick out of acting stupid and embarrassing people because my dad (and lets be honest mom, Ang, too) pretty much made me embarrass proof by age 2.  I love to have fun, I love love love to sing, and my mom says I'm dramatic :)  NO IDEA why!  We are living right outside of Jackson, MS right now because my husband had this crazy dream to go back to residency after being out of dental school for 6 years.  And me, pretty much because I'm awesome, agreed to support him.

Seriously though it was a total God thing and we got to experience the power of His complete control as he has moved us from one place to another on this crazy journey.  David and I  have had to learn to depend wholly on Him and one another which has been ridiculously hard at times, but such a wonderful thing for a marriage.  While it's been such a time of growth we can't wait to get back to Oklahoma for good and love us some family time. :) 2 years and 7.5 months... not that I'm counting :)

I plan to blog about life at home with a 3 year old and an infant. Stay tuned I'm sure things will get interesting! :)
